Jordan has studied with voice teachers Mary Dunkel, Juliana Snapper, Debra Lambert and Mindy Lym during her 20+ years of training. She has trained with Susan Jane Harrison in Linklater technique and voice building for actors. Jordan holds a BA from UC San Diego (where she studied with Ms. Snapper), and she completed the Vocal Pedagogy Professional Workshop at Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2019.

Jordan is a classical and contemporary voice teacher in the SF Bay Area. She draws on her extensive training and experience as a singer, actor, performer and movement professional to help her students unleash their vocal potential. She believes firmly that singing should be enjoyable and therapeutic, and that a combination of focus and play are key to unlocking the voice.

What people are Saying

“Jordan Kersten offers safe and supportive guidance and coaching as I explore expression with my voice and open my breath after years of neglect and stress. After a session with Jordan I feel energized and joyful (and my singing is improving quickly, too!)”

— TEDRA M.

“I have learned more from Jordi in 6 months of individual sessions (Both off and online) than I have in 4 years of group singing! I look forward to singing with Jordan every week because of her upbeat attitude and her ability to give me a little extra push every week and teach me something new. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their skills!”

—A. Kh.

“Jordan is so great to work with! She is very accommodating to your skill level, and very personable and easy to communicate with. She always comes to class with a great attitude and has helped me improve my singing at my own pace. Professional work with personalized lessons for her students. Highly recommend!”
